On Trip to Mars, NASA Must Rethink Death:
NASA has begun to ponder practical and ethical questions of exploration.

As I have a geeky fascination with space exploration and especially Mars, I found the article above Interesting.  It is the first time in my memory that NASA has looked into the realities of deep space exploration. 

I have no comment on the moral or ethical issues at hand other than to say that if we want to explore our solar system and beyond we have to accept the unfortunate truth that some people will die, and there is not a lot we can do about that when it happens.  Especially when the explorers are millions of miles away.

Woo Woo Woes Gone Away!

Apple finally fixed the issue with my Macbook Pro WPA connectivity.

Airport Extreme Update 2007-03 is the answer.

I am glad they fixed it but I was a little disappointed that they took so long.  Didn’t live up to their reputation on this one – and to make matter worse, they kept very quiet about the issue even though their support forums were full of disgruntled mac geeks.

Comcast, FSC and Premiership Soccer

So for those of you who don’t know – and haven;t determined through the blog title, I am British.  I am also an avid soccer fan.  Ahem, actually lets call that football – it is played with our feet.

So when I moved here i missed the English Premier League – which is generally considered the best league in the world – especially at my house.  This time a couple of years ago my wife upgraded our TV lineup to include the Fox Soccer Channel.  And what a welcome addition this was.  I got to watch some great matches with at least a top 5 team every weekend.
