Seyed Sadredin says Merced has “virtually” clean air!

Last night at the Merced City Council meeting Mr Seyed Sadredin of the Valley Air District gave the city council a 30 minute presentation about the recent decision to reclassify the valleys 8 hour ozone pollution compliance to extreme.

France votes in Conservative President

Nicolas Sarkozy
France has done something I didn’t think they would do. They voted in someone who thinks that working more than 35 hours a week is a good idea, and that the French are a little too “relaxed” (lazy) at the moment. This is the guy that might turn France’s shrinking economy around, and bring France and other parts of Europe back in the real world.

In a way I was actually supporting Segolene Royal, as her manifesto would have probably buried France into economical and historical insignificance. Being English, I enjoy what I shall we call a “healthy competition” with the French.

Scottish Nationalism Shines

The Scottish National Party just made huge gains in the regional elections this week in the UK.

The SNP are the party which wants Scotland secede from the United Kingdom, and gain full independence. Now it appears that they have the support of a majority of the Scottish people for the first time. I doubt that the majority of the Scottish would vote yes on a independence referendum, but I think the SNP’s election results certainly show a wish for more autonomy.
