A little BBQ at my place

So my lovely wife and I had a few people round at the weekend for a friendly session of exhaustive beer drinking, mouth stuffing, and jaw wagging.

Fun was had by all, well, almost all. One of our guests decided to eat a Kebab* which was, well not cooked. This well beautiful educated, thirty something decided that all the food that was on the dining table was too well done for her. So she explored the uncooked meats on the side. Admittedly I perhaps should have covered them, but I had no idea that anybody with such sanguine tastes was attending. Either way, when I noticed, I quickly pointed out to her, and to all I could find, what a dumb thing it was to do. She appreciated me showing her where the cooked food was, which turned out to be hiding in plain site.

Way to go Alicia, you clever cat.

New Interchange opens near my house

So at last a new interchange is finished that allows me to take 33 seconds of my commute. Note, I am not complaining, its just that the road that the interchange is meant to serve is not built yet, so it all seems a little pointless as of right now.

However, there is plenty of commercial space in the area, and hopefully there will be a few businesses moving in to serve the south east Merced community which is sorely lacking great commercial facilities.

I want a wii.

I want a wii. I wiily wiily want a wii.
A lot of my colleagues have recently picked them up, and have expressed their supreme satisfaction with them.

The new user interface, the wiimote, is going to change the way people play games. It makes games so interactive. The types of games I play on my xbox are mainly sports games. Hmmm… Sports games where your real life actions are echoed by your on screen persona.

Now if I can only convince my wife..
