The California Air Resources Board is holding a public forum in Merced to hear citizens thoughts and concerns about the valleys air quality issues.
This is the only public meeting for the north valley, and it is very telling that Merced was chosen, so I encourage all local residents to attend to hear and provide viewpoints from a wide a cross section of our community as is possible.
Engadget: AT&T whips up international iPhone data plan, also adding iTunes radio?:
An international data plan is not a surprise, but what is itunes radio? That sounds like a cool new feature!

The popular Discovery channel show Mythbusters comes to Merced to use Lake Yosemite as a location to try and jump an island ala James Bond. They were also at Castle airforce base a few weeks ago filming another story

So did anyone else notice a HUGE thunderstorm roll through the central valley last night?
Wow. That was one of the most violent storms I have ever seen, like something from the mid west. Lightening streaking across the sky horizontally, and vertically every few seconds, and the rain! Wow, I did not know it could rain like that in the valley.
My poor dog was stuck outside for a little while, and boy was he pleased to see me when I got back to the house.
