I have a wii!

On Saturday, because of my Harry Potter misery, I went looking for a Wii in the local stores. And would you “Adam and Eve” it I found one at Target!

Its great, its so much fun, its intuitive, and it has brought me great joy. I got the Wii (including Wii Sports) and Wii Play (with second controller). My brother in law and I had a blast yesterday playing for a number of hours. I think Wii Tennis and Wii Bowling are my favorite of the games that got bundled.

Spam a lot…

Wow,
So today I booted up my Mac, and started entourage. Since I checked last night, my hotmail account had received over 500 messages. All of it offering me various ways of increasing the size of certain things, or telling me that there are certain uniquely talented individuals living nearby who would be more than happy to meet up with me.

I am amazed. I remember a few days ago visiting some web pages to unsubscribe from certain emails. I am aware that sometimes these are scams and are actually just mail registers, but I really wanted to stop receiving some of the mail I was getting and I thought they were legit companies. Perhaps this is the cause?

Calling its user interface “simplicity itself,” Bob LeVitus (Houston Chronicle) praises iPhone. “It’s easier to use than any phone before it, and it introduces a fantastic new feature known as “Visual Voicemail,” which lets you browse through all of your voice messages on screen and listen to them in any order.” As an iPod, LeVitus adds, iPhone offers “the best video functionality ever in an iPod. Everything — movies, TV shows, photos, video podcasts, and album art — looks absolutely fantastic on the high-res display.” And “speaking of screens, iPhone’s is huge, gorgeous, and touch-sensitive,” providing “rich, deeply saturated colors at an ultra-high resolution which adds up to a sharp picture.”

I played with my colleagues IPhone some more today, and was even more impressed. It is by far the slickest “gadget” I have ever seen. Apple has really done a fantastic job, and deserve the praise they are getting.
