CARB look to delay San Joaquin Valley SIP

Remember the plan to delay the cleaning of the valleys air that Seyed Sadredin, and the San Joaquin Valley Air District proposed?

Now it seems that the California Air Resources Board is having second thoughts, after initially supporting the plan. The plan has drawn an immense amount of criticism, and has drawn the reputation of the Valley Air board into the gutter in the minds of many.

Sad News

So my lovely wife and are are heading to blighty

Unfortunately, My Mother died today (Thursday 19th June 2007).

She was my inspiration, and my hero. She will be missed, but we will all meet again.

A little BBQ at my place

So my lovely wife and I had a few people round at the weekend for a friendly session of exhaustive beer drinking, mouth stuffing, and jaw wagging.

Fun was had by all, well, almost all. One of our guests decided to eat a Kebab* which was, well not cooked. This well beautiful educated, thirty something decided that all the food that was on the dining table was too well done for her. So she explored the uncooked meats on the side. Admittedly I perhaps should have covered them, but I had no idea that anybody with such sanguine tastes was attending. Either way, when I noticed, I quickly pointed out to her, and to all I could find, what a dumb thing it was to do. She appreciated me showing her where the cooked food was, which turned out to be hiding in plain site.

Way to go Alicia, you clever cat.

Creation vs Evolution

In out local paper recently there has been a war of words battling on between “Creationists” and “Darwinists”. It was getting pretty tiring listening to both sides of an argument, which in my opinion can coexist quite happily (This is America people). Today I saw this letter which I found highly amusing.

You know, I find it very interesting that so many people spend so much time explaining how their own belief system is correct, and everybody else needs to adjust their own beliefs accordingly. This applies to both sides of the argument here.
