The Geeky Brit

Yeah, Yeah, I was a part of the generation that grew up on the adventures of Optimus Prime, BumbleBee and the hatefull Megatron. I loved the transformers. LOVED THEM. I had the Optimus Prime toy, and it was one of my proudest possesions (I must try and find it one day).

Now the movie is out, which my lovely wife and I went to see yesterday.

I was a little scared when I first heard that a movie was being made. I mean its a bit like meeting your childhood heroes. They usually turn out to be a little boring, and not as pleasant as you remember them.

The critic were also not very happy with the movie, and so I started getting more nervous.

And then we saw it. Wow. Brilliant. There was humour, there was many references to its cult status, there were explosions, there were amazing special effects. It was everything I had hoped for.

I strongly reccomend you go and see it. If you were a fan of the toys and the cartoons I am sure you will love it. If you weren’t I cannot say how you will react, but please let me know.

Of course there was the obligatory open ending, giving the producers the oppurtunites to make a sequal. Which I am not sure is always a good idea, but we will see.
