Oooh my third earthquake…
So here I was sat in my Fresno office, and I felt my 3rd earthquake in 4 years of living in California….
It was quite a ways away in the mountains, and it currently reported at a 3.8 (I would not have noticed if I wasn’t I was sat down).
For those people who question my sanity for living in an “earthquake hotspot”, rest assured I am still alive and coding…
I have to give props to the USGS, 90 seconds after I felt it an entry appeared with the exact location on their web page, 3 minutes after that a magnitude and seismograph reading was available.
If there is a big one near me at least I have the knowledge that I can watch it play out on the web – providing I am not swallowed whole by a gaping crack in the middle of the road – no wait thats the movies…
